Giants of Ngorongoro

“The Giants of Ngorongoro” is a 20-by-36 oil on canvas that’s been on quite a journey. I began this piece over 25 years ago, inspired by a trip to the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania. The scene captures a towering yellow acacia near the picnic area, along with a well-known tusker who calls that crater home. For nearly two decades, the painting sat unfinished, moving from one studio to another. A few years ago, I finally picked up the brush again and completed the vision I’d carried all that time. Now framed, it’s ready to share that long-awaited story with its next home.
