Hoanib Jumbo, Namibia

“Hoanib Jumbo” shows one of Namibia’s desert-adapted elephants moving through that dry, open landscape with calm strength. I let the elephant hold the stage, with the distant antelope suggesting scale and the harsh but beautiful environment. The warm, dusty palette was key to creating that feeling of heat and dryness.
