Rascal II

This painting is a special one. It’s a portrait of a young male lion, about three years old, captured at Namatoni waterhole in Etosha. Years earlier, at that very spot, we’d photographed a mischievous cub—nicknamed Rascal—nestled in the pride. When we returned and saw this young lion, we couldn’t help but imagine it was that same Rascal, now grown into a fine young male. Whether true or not, it’s the story we cherish. This piece, framed and ready, is a nod to those beautiful memories we’ve shared at Etosha.
